Who We Are
About The Ocean View

Our family has called Southern Massachusetts home for generations, and there’s nothing we enjoy more than sharing the beauty of Cape Cod with guests who return year after year. Ocean View is especially meaningful to us—it’s where our journey in hospitality first began.

Owner Ray Daly Jr. spent more than 30 years in the drywall industry before discovering a new passion: welcoming guests. What started as a business opportunity quickly turned into something much more personal—a place where people can truly relax, recharge, and experience the Cape the way it’s meant to be.

Today, Ocean View remains proudly family-run. Ray’s daughter, Lauren, leads the day-to-day as General Manager, keeping everything running seamlessly. Jeneen, a familiar face for over 15 years, helps create the warm, welcoming atmosphere guests have come to love. Christine keeps things on track behind the scenes, and Dave, our longtime handyman, makes sure everything is always in top shape. Together with our team, we’re proud to offer a relaxed, personal Cape Cod experience just steps from Craigville Beach—one that feels a little like coming home, and keeps guests coming back.

Frequently Asked Questions

“What time is check-in and check-out? Is early check-in possible?”
Check-in begins at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. If you’re hoping to sneak in a little early, we’ll do our best to make it happen—just keep in mind it depends on availability the day you arrive, so we can’t guarantee it in advance.

"Is parking included?"
Yes—each room includes one complimentary parking space. Space is limited, so we’re unable to accommodate additional vehicles. A quick heads-up: overnight parking isn’t permitted at the nearby beach, so plan accordingly.
Do you have a pool?
We don’t have a pool on-site, but Ocean View guests enjoy access to the indoor pool at the Craigville Beach Inn. Just stop by the front desk there for access. (It’s seasonal, so be sure to check availability.)
Do you allow pets?
As much as we love them, we’re not able to accommodate pets. We recommend making arrangements ahead of time for your furry companions.
Is the office open 24 hours a day?
As a boutique property, our front desk hours vary by season, and we don’t offer 24-hour on-site service. That said, guests always have access to 24-hour on-call support—so you’re never on your own if something comes up.
For assistance anytime, give us a call at 508-775-1962. Must leave a message and we will return your call.
Do you allow late arrivals?
Absolutely. If you haven’t arrived before the office closes, we’ll reach out with simple check-in instructions so your arrival is smooth and stress-free.
Know you’ll be arriving late? Feel free to give us a heads-up—we’ll have everything ready for you.
Which is better: the 1st floor or 2nd floor?
It really comes down to your style.
The 1st floor is all about ease—no stairs, easy access, and a more budget-friendly option.
The 2nd floor? That’s where things level up, with private balconies and sweeping ocean views. A guest favorite for a reason.
What is  a partial ocean view room?
Our 1st-floor rooms offer a partial ocean view from across the street—perfect for catching a glimpse of the water with the convenience of ground-level access.
If you’re after a more immersive view, the 2nd-floor rooms feature private balconies with panoramic ocean views.
Just note: parking is located directly in front of the property, which may slightly impact first-floor sightlines.

Ocean View is located in Centerville, a laid-back seaside village within the town of Barnstable—right at the heart of Cape Cod. Centerville keeps things classic: quiet streets, coastal charm, and none of the chaos—just the way the Cape should be.

You’re steps from Craigville Beach, one of the most loved stretches of sand on Cape Cod. Morning coffee, barefoot walks, sunset swims—it’s all right here.

When you’re ready to explore, you’ve got options. Hyannis is just minutes away for ferries to Nantucket, plus restaurants, shops, and a little more buzz. Osterville brings upscale village charm with boutiques and coastal elegance, while Falmouth offers bike paths, beaches, and easy access to Martha’s Vineyard. Head a bit further along to Dennis Port for classic Cape beach days, casual seafood spots, and that easygoing summer feel. Or go the other direction to Sandwich, Cape Cod’s oldest town, known for its historic charm, boardwalk, and quiet coastal beauty.

Feeling adventurous? Head up Cape to Provincetown—about an hour and a half drive—for bold art, big views, and a completely different vibe.

Coming from the city? Boston is about 70 miles away, and Providence, Rhode Island is just over an hour—both close enough for an easy getaway, far enough to feel like you’ve truly unplugged.

Stay here, and you get the best of both worlds: close to everything, but just far enough removed to actually unwind.
